Cologne regional office

NRW.Energy4Climate is the state company for energy and climate protection in North Rhine-Westphalia. It pools forces and resources in the four sectors with the highest emissions: energy, industry, heat & buildings and mobility, which together are responsible for more than 90 percent of greenhouse gas emissions in NRW. The aim is to accelerate the transformation across sectors so that North Rhine-Westphalia becomes climate-neutral as quickly as possible and at the same time strengthens itself as an industrial and service location for the future. Fundamental decisions in climate policy are usually made at international, national or state level. However, it is primarily the municipalities that play a decisive role in implementation. For this reason, we are represented locally in the regions to support the municipal actors. The climate networkers spread across NRW are central contacts in the field of climate protection and energy efficiency for municipalities and companies in the regions. Based on central locations, they drive climate protection projects and communication. In addition, as a networking point, they bring together district, state and regional partners. The Cologne regional office is located in the town hall in Cologne Deutz.
