Pre-normative research work to create a data basis for the necessary adaptation of the ISO standard for the quality of hydrogen delivery at gas stations
Infrastructure project
The main basis for the mandatory hydrogen delivery quality at hydrogen filling stations, which will be mandatory across Europe at the end of 2017, is ISO 14687-2. However, the limit values specified in this standard do not cover current fuel cell configurations, application-oriented driving styles or overall system costs. This circumstance can lead to reduced mileage of current and future fuel cell drive trains and thus to FCEVs that do not meet customer requirements. The aim of the project is to use pre-normative research to create a data basis for the necessary adaptation of the ISO standard for hydrogen delivery quality at filling stations as part of the nightly revision, describing current and future fuel cell configurations and the economic efficiency of the overall system.
