In the present project, water and fuel cell technology are being implemented in conjunction with accumulators on tugboats. The hybrid drive for regional traffic in Berlin and Brandenburg as well as for supra-regional journeys up to Hamburg is realized as a combination of fuel cell technology and accumulators, whereby the dimensioning of the individual components is analyzed by the variation of the percentages of the energy supply in terms of economic efficiency. The infrastructural conditions for the energy supply of the tugboat must be taken into account. Here, hydrogen from renewable energy sources is favored for the fuel cells.
