Implementation Project CAMPFIRE - Ammonia Energy Transport System for Import, Medium Load and Dynamic Conversion
Hydrogen production
The CAMPFIRE alliance was founded as part of the funding programme "WIR! - Change through Innovation in the Region" of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The aim is to research and develop new energy conversion and storage technologies for the future energy system based on green ammonia In the future, utilisation paths for exportable high-tech technologies are to be established by regional small and medium-sized enterprises in the North-East region. CAMPFIRE technologies produced in the North-East region will enable an energy economy based on green ammonia and a carbon-free, secure energy supply in the Baltic Sea region, in Europe and overseas. In the long term, effective and economical ways to reduce the global carbon dioxide content in the earth's atmosphere will emerge.
