TransHyDE_UP1
Mukran Hydrogen Centre
Infrastructure project
Mukran Port, Germany's north-easternmost seaport, is located on the island of Rügen. Here, the TransHyDE project Mukran is developing an innovative high-pressure spherical storage system for hydrogen. This is to be used on the high seas in the course of the project. The aim is to integrate it into the H2Mare offshore plant in order to store the green hydrogen produced there in the meantime. In addition, the spherical storage tank will also be tested in use as a transport container. For example, Mukran wants to transport hydrogen to Hamburg by ship on a test basis.
