Innovation Project
TransHyDE_FP5
Standardisation, standardisation and certification
Infrastructure project
The TransHyDE lead project initiated by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) aims at the practical introduction of transport, distribution and storage options for hydrogen and other chemical energies. In addition to the technical and regulatory prerequisites, this requires uniform specifications in the form of norms, standards and certification programmes. The TransHyDE research network "Standardisation and Certification" is investigating these aspects holistically in order to identify regulatory gaps and develop solutions. In parallel, the TransHyDE projects aim to demonstrate the feasibility of four different transport technologies. They thus provide the practical results of the five TransHyDE research networks. The TransHyDE research network "Standardisation and Certification" is to be funded by the BMBF with a total of approx. 1.2 million € and comprises six partners. DVGW e. V. is responsible for the overall coordination and the topic of pipeline-based hydrogen transport.
