TransHyDE_FP2: Secure infrastructure

The TransHyDE flagship project aims to advance hydrogen transport technologies in five accompanying research projects and four demonstration projects. The goal is to answer all questions that are still open regarding the establishment of a national hydrogen infrastructure in Germany. The answers should be scientifically and technically sound in order to lay the foundations for the real-world implementation of the hydrogen transition. One of these unresolved issues concerns the long-term suitability of pipelines, storage facilities, and connection points for hydrogen for the establishment of a safe and sustainable hydrogen infrastructure. The subproject and research network “TransHyDE_FP2: Safe Infrastructure” is therefore evaluating various materials in terms of safety and service life.
