Why electrolysers based on solid oxide electrolytes age so quickly

Electrolysers and fuel cells based on solid oxide electrolytes achieve the highest efficiency compared to alkaline or PEM systems. The problem: The so-called SOC technology is less viable and less robust than the less efficient alternatives. The SOC-Degradation_2 project aims to help change this by analysing ageing processes in SOC systems.
