The central project goal is the development of a modular blueprint for a decentralised energy and heat transition at neighbourhood level.

As a project partner, gridX is responsible for integrating all decentralised energy consumers and producers, as well as for setting up the SmartQuart Hub as a neighbourhood operating system. This primarily involves local and cross-quarter control as well as monitoring of the installed energy devices in the quarters. The functions in the area of control and monitoring are developed on the basis of the use cases defined together with the project partners and continuously improved in the course of the real-lab project.
