The central project objective is the development of a modular blueprint for a decentralised energy transition at neighbourhood level.

E.ON Energy Solutions GmbH will take over the development, operation and contractual relationship with end customers for the energy supply in the course of the demonstration of the energy-optimised neighbourhood in Bedburg and thus the work package management of WP3-B. Within SmartQuart, E.ON Energy Solutions will be involved in the development of the other work packages, including use cases, ICT infrastructure and the systemic interconnection of the neighbourhoods. In addition, E.ON Energy Solutions will support the demonstration of the Essen and Kaisersesch neighbourhoods with its own personnel resources as part of the AP3-E and AP3-K work packages.
