The central project objective is the development of a modular blueprint for a decentralised energy and heat turnaround at neighbourhood level.

Together with RWE Power AG, the town of Bedburg is planning to develop a blueprint for energy-optimised new housing developments using the example of a citizen-oriented, energy-autonomous, energy-optimised, digital, resource-conserving and regenerative energy supply system with an innovative user and operator model in areas characterised by structural change.
