R&D Projects
PolyH2Pipe
The production of green hydrogen is currently still quite expensive. In order to reduce the plant costs for electrolyzers, the materials used must be considered. The use of thermoplastic pipes instead of steel materials would be conceivable, as automated production processes and simple connection techniques are available, which would significantly reduce production costs. Existing traditional thermoplastic pipe systems do not meet the requirements of high pressures, temperatures and the effect of transported media. New standards and new products are therefore needed, which meet the requirements of promising hydrogen applications both materially and economically.
