NRW.Energy4Climate is the state agency for energy and climate protection of North Rhine-Westphalia. It pools forces and resources in the four highest-emitting sectors of the energy industry, industry, heat & buildings and mobility, which together are responsible for more than 90 percent of greenhouse gas emissions in NRW. The goal is to accelerate the transformation across sectors in such a way that North Rhine-Westphalia becomes climate-neutral as quickly as possible and at the same time strengthened as an industrial and service location for the future.

NRW.Energy4Climate supports the development of the hydrogen economy in North Rhine-Westphalia. The state agency initiates and supports innovative projects for the decarbonisation of industry, the energy sector, district heating and mobility. It also supports the development of a hydrogen network with connections to hydrogen storage facilities and import ports.

The headquarters and regional office of NRW.Energy4Climate are located in the Media Harbour in Düsseldorf.
