Pre-normative research work to create a data basis for the necessary adaptation of the ISO standard for hydrogen dispensing quality at filling stations.
ISO 14687-2 is the authoritative basis for the mandatory hydrogen dispensing quality at hydrogen filling stations to be specified throughout Europe at the end of 2017. However, the limit values stored in this standard do not take into account current FC configurations, application-oriented driving modes and overall system costs. This circumstance can lead to a reduced mileage of current or future FC powertrains and thus to reliability characteristics of FCEVs that are not suitable for customers. The aim of the project is to create a data basis through pre-normative research work for the necessary adaptation of the ISO standard for hydrogen delivery quality at filling stations in the context of the next revision, taking into account current and future fuel cell configurations as well as the economic efficiency of the overall system.
