Highly efficient hydrogen production from ammonia as a carbon-free energy store
Hydrogen production
The Chair of Energy Technology at the University of Duisburg-Essen and the Duisburg Centre for Fuel Cell Technology GmbH (ZBT) are working on hydrogen production from ammonia in the "NH3toH2" project. Fuel cells can then generate electricity from the hydrogen produced in this way. The technology offers the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and thus combat climate change.
