The aim of the project is to answer the following questions: How do different CO2 reduction strategies for the German energy system affect existing and future energy supply infrastructures? How can networked energy infrastructures (and their interactions) be represented in energy system models? This requires a methodological extension of the energy system models, i.e. the adequate representation of infrastructures. To make this possible, the use of specific infrastructure models (electricity, gas, heat and hydrogen network)
