Hydrogen transport pipeline for the Westmünsterland region

Wasserstoff Entwicklungs GmbH & Co. KG brings the energy carrier hydrogen to Westmünsterland. It pursues the goal of establishing a hydrogen-based economy in the region. As an essential milestone, this requires a local, stable and secure network infrastructure for the transport of hydrogen. Significant locational advantages are offered to the actors in Westmünsterland, first and foremost the Eperan cavern storage facility and the GETH2-IPCEI project, as well as the direct neighbourhood to the Netherlands. The GETH2 is a section of the main national hydrogen transport pipeline planned by 2030, which will run directly through the region. Hydrogen Development GmbH & Co. KG and a consortium of local network operators will connect to it in order to create a regional distribution network for consumers and feeders.
