Hydrogen production at the Hansa Business Park Münster

Hydrogen to supply the Fraunhofer facility Research Manufacturing Battery Cell FFB

The Fraunhofer Research Fabrication Battery Cell FFB is planned as the main customer for the electrolysis plant to be commissioned in the Hansa Business Park from 2025. In addition, Stadtnetze Münster GmbH is examining the feed-in or admixture of the green hydrogen into the natural gas grid. The conversion of existing natural gas pipelines to hydrogen or the construction of new hydrogen pipelines is also being considered.

Technologieförderung Münster GmbH supports the project. It commissioned a feasibility study to map the concept along the entire value chain from the generation of electricity to the production and use of green hydrogen.
