Innovation Project
Hydra15
Hydrogen production
In order to be able to investigate the performance of such innovative systems with regard to their use in an industrial environment, the aim of this project is to develop a high-pressure electrolysis test stand that is not yet commercially available in this form and demonstrates the consortium's novel technological approach. The demonstrator test stand is to become part of the newly emerging hydrogen technology centre of the company iGas energy in Stolberg. Hydrogen produced in the test facility will then be stored in order to make it usable for subsequent applications. The H2 production will be CO2-free, as the energy will be obtained from renewable sources.
