H2hoch2
In the future, hydrogen will play an important role not only as an energy carrier but also as a process gas in industrial production. This is precisely where the H2hoch2 project comes in: The goal of the project is to convert a high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) spraying process from fossil fuel gases to hydrogen and to adapt it for the production of high-performance electrodes for PEM electrolysers.
Together, the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences and RS Rittel GmbH are developing a new manufacturing process that produces porous titanium electrode structures, which are then coated with a corrosion-resistant contact layer and validated in electrolysis operations. At the same time, the project is investigating the technical and economic conditions under which hydrogen can be used industrially as a fuel gas in the future.
