Innovation Project
H2-Substitution II
Infrastructure project
The cooperation project investigates the effects of firing H2-rich gas mixtures on the products of metallurgical processes. In addition, possible effects of H2 admixture on fittings and pipe materials of gas-carrying installations in thermal processing plants should be investigated. The solution combines detailed furnace tests on the one hand and comprehensive material analyses on the other. The project has great potential for innovation, as the use of H2-rich natural gases as fuel in the course of the energy transition (power-to-gas) also benefits many other industries.
