H2 Atlas

Other

The H2ATLAS-AFRICA Project is the beginning of a cooperation between the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and African partners in the Sub-Saharan region (SADC and ECOWAS countries) to explore the potential of green hydrogen production. The project belongs to the Go Green Go Africa initiative of the BMBF and is in line with the National Hydrogen Strategy of the Federal Government. The aim is to support the sustainable and economic development of the African continent through a sustainable hydrogen economy, whereby Africa as an exporter of green hydrogen can strengthen its importance on the international energy markets. The project results will be made available to decision-makers and investors in the form of an interactive map and are intended to serve as a basis for demonstration projects.
