H2-Atlas
Other
The H2ATLAS-AFRICA project is the start of a cooperation between the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and African partners in the sub-Saharan region (SADC and ECOWAS countries) to explore the potential of green hydrogen production. The project is part of the BMBF's Go Green Go Africa initiative and is in line with the German government's National Hydrogen Strategy.
The aim is to support sustainable and economic development of the African continent through a consistent hydrogen economy, which will enable Africa to strengthen its importance on the international energy markets as an exporter of green hydrogen. The project result will be made available to decision-makers and investors in the form of an interactive map and will serve as a basis for demonstration projects.
