The tkH2Steel project of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG is establishing climate-neutral steel production in North Rhine-Westphalia. Through the widespread use of hydrogen, the climate-friendly steel production of the future is gradually becoming a reality at the largest steel location in the European Union. The process envisaged here will replace steel production based on coking coal and thus make an important contribution to climate protection.
