Why electrolyzers based on solid oxide electrolytes age so quickly

Electrolysers and fuel cells based on solid oxide electrolytes reach the highest efficiency compared to alkaline or PEM systems. The problem: the so-called SOC technology is less long-lasting and less robust than the less efficient alternatives. The SOC-Degradation_2 project will contribute to this change by analyzing aging processes in SOC systems.
