Innovation Project

PowerPaste

Mobile hydrogen supply of the next generation

Infrastructure project

The content of this joint project is the further development and testing of a compact energy supply for electric drives based on PEM fuel cells, independent of the classic hydrogen infrastructure (filling stations and compressed gas cylinders), with a virtually pressureless water supply based on POWERPASTE. This is an innovative, liquid or pasty hydrogen storage system that the chemically bound water form is released as needed through a controlled reaction between POWERPASTE and liquid water. The application defined in the project plan should be designed for fleet-oriented light vehicles and tested in the application on an example, since here there is an immediate economic exploitation potential on the part of the project partners VITESCO and, moreover, a well-known company in the logistics area has demonstrated an interest in the use of the corresponding technology.
