Hydrogen shunting locomotive

The aim of this study is to create the basis for further activity in the development, construction and initiation of a hydrogen-powered SGV locomotive and to test its feasibility. In particular, it is to be analyzed and evaluated which requirements and solution approaches are best and whether a development project is better pursued as a conversion of an existing vehicle or as a new vehicle. The study examines two commercially available diesel locomotives in lower power classes.
