Hydrogen Center Hamm
construction of a 20 MW electrolyzer
Hydrogen production
An important building block of the hydrogen economy in Hamm is the Hamm Hydrogen Center, which was founded in 2021 on the initiative of Stadtwerke Hamm and Trianel GmbH. Stadtwerke Bochum and DSW21 are two other municipal partners involved in the electrolyzer project. The planned electrolyzer on the site of the Trianel gas power plant in Hamm-Uentrop will have an output of 20 megawatts and will therefore be able to produce up to 1,500 tons of green hydrogen per year with a planned 4,000 full load hours. The project is supported by the Hydrogen Alliance Westphalia.
