Hydrogen Alliance Westphalia

The project is intended to make an important contribution to the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy in North Rhine-Westphalia and is being implemented by the city of Hamm and the district of Unna through the 5-site program.

hydrogen network will be set up with partners from business, science and municipalities and the hydrogen infrastructure for the region will be expanded. The project aims to enable and implement innovative hydrogen-powered projects - for example in the area of green hydrogen production, the use of hydrogen in industry and in the mobility sector. The project will be funded until 2027 with around 1.6 million euros from the federal program "STARK" (strengthening the transformation dynamics and new beginnings in the mining areas and at the coal-fired power plant sites) and a further 100,000 euros from the state government.
