The project addresses the following questions: Supply, demand, and infrastructure: What transformation paths can Germany's current natural gas-based infrastructure take in light of evolving supply and demand volumes for CO2-neutral hydrogen, and what is the most cost-effective supply of a gas mix (natural gas and hydrogen) to meet demand? Where can hydrogen be used effectively, and what demand will arise?
