H2-Campus

At the H2 Campus on the premises of AVU Netz GmbH, it is demonstrated how climate-friendly energy supply works in practice: green hydrogen is produced from solar power through electrolysis. It is then stored and transported via a pipeline network to an auxiliary building, where it is used for heating the building. The project uses technologies that could be applied in a future energy system.

The project not only demonstrates the practical use of hydrogen but also offers the opportunity to gain experience in handling hydrogen—both for AVU Netz employees and for regional stakeholders. The H2 Campus went into operation in the spring of 2025.
