IPCEI

With the construction of a 120 MW electrolysis plant in the Chemiepark Marl in the Emscher-Lippe Region, the GreenMotionSteel project aims to build a European hydrogen infrastructure through the supply of European hydrogen pipeline networks with green hydrogen and the potential storage of hydrogen in caverns to support and at the same time to promote the regional development of the value chain for green hydrogen in the Rhine-Ruhr region. The project is being implemented by AIR LIQUIDE Deutschland GmbH. The Electrolyser used within GreenMotionSteel is based on the so-called "Silyzer 300" technology of a joint venture between Siemens Energy and Air Liquide. One of the special features of GreenMotionSteel is that the produced green hydrogen can be delivered to interested customers both via the future European hydrogen network and also via the existing hydrogen network of Air Liquide.
