Thanks to the close links between the research and development, education and testing laboratory departments, the GWI is the place to go for everything to do with hydrogen. The entire H2 value chain, from production to transport to end use, is investigated by us in overall system analyses. In addition to feasibility and potential studies, experimental investigations on H2 use for end applications in the heating and industrial sectors are carried out at the GWI. The spectrum ranges from test stands for small fuel cells with outputs of less than 1 kW to semi-industrial high-temperature test stands up to 1.3 MW.
