Thanks to the close links between the research and development, education and testing laboratory departments, the GWI is the point of contact for all matters relating to hydrogen. We examine the entire H2 value chain, from production to transport to end use, in overall system analyses. In addition to feasibility and potential studies, the GWI conducts experimental investigations into the use of H2 in end applications in the heating and industrial sectors. The spectrum ranges from test benches for small fuel cells with outputs of less than 1 kW to semi-industrial high-temperature test benches of up to 1.3 MW.
