Electrolyser in Meckenheim

2 MW PEM - A central hub of our H₂ supply is located in the Rhein-Sieg district. While the original system at the RVK branch in Meckenheim was permanently taken out of operation, a modern replacement plant was built in the Meckenheim-Kottenforst Entrepreneurs' Park. The site is owned by RVK, and operation is ensured by the tenant Air Products. In the current phase 1, the refuelling of buses and trucks at 350 bar is ensured (capacity: at least 750 kg of hydrogen per day). The upcoming phase 2 envisages the expansion to public 700 bar refuelling and the addition of a public e-charging station for passenger cars with up to 150 kW peak power.
