Hydrogen production with high-performance filling station (H2TP)
AGR Abfallentsorgungs-Gesellschaft Ruhrgebiet mbH in Herten uses electricity from its waste-to-energy plant to produce hydrogen. Municipal and commercial waste, which consists of around 50 per cent biogenic material, serves as the main fuel source. Hydrogen is produced using proton exchange membrane electrolysers from Linde Engineering, which supply around 440,000 kilograms of hydrogen annually.
The ‘Hydrogen Production with High-Performance Refuelling Station (H2TP)’ project not only includes the electrolysers, but also compressors, storage tanks and a high-performance refuelling station with 350 and 700 bar refuelling options. Linde Engineering is also responsible for the maintenance and servicing of the plant (see also Hydrogen filling station ‘Herten - AGR (350/700 bar)’).
