Climate Port Gelsenkirchen

Becoming climate neutral as quickly as possible: that is the goal of the ‘Klimahafen Gelsenkirchen’ initiative. It is backed by companies from the city port of Gelsenkirchen and the surrounding area, reinforced by other institutions from the city. Together, they want to actively use the unique central location of the city port, where transport routes and gas pipelines intersect, to transform the economy towards climate neutrality.
