Aachen Process Engineering (AVT)

Aachen Process Engineering (AVT) is a consortium of five departments at RWTH Aachen University, each with different areas of focus in process engineering. One research focus is on the development and investigation of catalyst materials for the electrochemical reduction of CO₂. In particular, the selectivity and efficiency in the synthesis of compounds such as carbon monoxide (CO) or formic acid (HCOOH) are analyzed.
