From the route of the hydrogen core network to industrial and mobility projects – the hydrogen map from H2.NRW has undergone a comprehensive update. The NRW map now shows projects and institutions related to hydrogen with updated data sets in seven filterable categories. The future route of the hydrogen core network is also integrated as a central element.
The new features include:
Integrated route of the hydrogen core network: The rough routes of the hydrogen core network pipelines are now integrated into the map display. The pipeline sections can be shown or hidden along with the respective year of planned commissioning and helpful additional information. New pipelines are shown in red, conversion pipelines in blue.
New project category ‘Industrial applications’: The new category provides information on projects that bring hydrogen into industrial applications. The category can be found in the menu under ‘Hydrogen in North Rhine-Westphalia’.
New project category ‘Mobility’: The newly added “Mobility” section shows projects in North Rhine-Westphalia that use hydrogen for mobility applications, for example for bus fleets and waste collection vehicles, as well as projects for the development and manufacture of fuel cell systems related to mobility. The section can be accessed in the menu under ‘Hydrogen in NRW’.
Updated category ‘R&D projects’: The former category ‘Innovation projects’ has been renamed ‘R&D projects’. It presents ongoing or recently completed projects and can be found in the menu as the top-level category ‘R&D projects’ with the option of selecting further subcategories.
Other familiar filter categories include ‘Electrolysers’, ‘Hydrogen Refuelling Stations’, ‘Research Facilities’ and ‘Hubs, Clusters & Networks’. In addition to the central map view, the data and information can also be displayed as a list view via the menu and is available in both German and English.
Further projects can be added. Requests can be made via the ‘Add project’ button on the home page.
