Innovation Project
NIP II - DELFIN
Research into alternative materials and manufacturing processes for cost- and weight-reduced pressure vessels made of continuous fiber-reinforced plastic
Mobility
The technical aim of the project is to research a hydrostatic storage technology that, compared to the current state of the art or the technologies currently available on the market, has lower costs and a lower weight in relation to the amount of hydrostatic stored. The project takes a holistic approach that covers all relevant aspects of the further development of individual components of a pressure vessel. This includes refining the specification, initiating research and development work on liners, resin-fiber composites and windings, and initiating independent tests to demonstrate the safety and general certifiability of the jointly developed vessel.
